Dear you,

It’s been long since we talked. Things have been great lately. I see you have gotten lots of toys.

The boys with the most toys win, I hope they are right..Anyways toys come and go and in a year or two they maybe the obsolete as silicon valley, India and china invent their way into much better toys or rather the pimping of the good old toys.

Are doing as great within, dear friend or are you faking it all through?. Playing impostor and praying no one finds out. I guess you may not admit anything but I will go ahead and make a fool of myself. Here is my advice, listen carefully because no one may be this honest with you.

First lets bury the shadows. You seem not have a great time immediately before this season. Lots of things you would rather forget have happened and you have somehow shoved them down in the basement, hoping they wont pop out now and then. I would advise you to face them head on and for ever move on. Take each and everyone of the events and analyze them. Accept the part you contributed, and rectify them, if possible or at least admit your part. Then accept the fact that some things are not repairable, thus must be forgiven and forgotten. Allow fate or god to be the one to keep score over them. Now live and let live, let sleeping dogs lie.

Second, I see you still the same you, always running from making commitments, always on the move. I suggest you allow yourself to take chances and give a try to this ‘domestication’. it isn’t as bad a s you think. It is even healthier coz of the stability it gives. Its time you let the probability of being broken loom around you. I know your strong but being a little vulnerable isnt at all sissy, its rather a sign of strength and maturity.

So i hope you give a try for the love of God!. Ships are safe on the harbor but they weren’t built to stay. Its the storms, the winds and the long days at sea that toughen the ship and the crew.

Lastly, I hope you keep up the good work on the books. keep it up and be very competitive and edgy, I would advise you to put all your heart in it and get the best you can coz your are extraordinarily talented we all know it. Take the long hours and do everything that must be done should be done in time.

I would have loved that i take you out to lunch at some place and talk this thru but you are so elusive,that it cant be arranged.I poke into your business and annoy you coz I care.

Starting my holiday anyways.Well i would like to extend some kudos to some fine improvement i have noted recently.First, kudos to His excellency Ngwazi Dr.bingu wamutharika for becoming the chairman of African Union.Its an honor not just to him,but to the great nation of Malawi.Wena amafuna akakamire,zawo!..kikiki...

Second, Zodiak has replaced its mediocre web page with an ass-kicking one.It really looks great.Go see it!.The only problem is that the live-streaming is still failing.I hope they cancel their contract with this new raadio provider and get another one better ,like the old days with Live365.TVM also has a good web page,what is lacking there is live streaming,I hope one day we will watch live streaming of TVM online also.

I also would like to congratulate the my host,the Pharaohs of Egypt for taking the AFCON for record the third time.By the way im not from Ghana,so next time you see me, don't confuse me for Ghananian..kikiki.

I am a Malawian national who is a current sophomore and recipient of the International Student Aid Award at Cornell University (Ithaca, NY). A double major in Nutritional Science and Africana Studies with a minor in Global Health, I am the Director for Social Outreach in COAS (Coalition of Pan African Scholars), Peer Advisor for the College of Arts and Sciences, and an active member of Biology Scholars Program (BSP), Campus Crusade for Christ and International Students Association (ISAA).

Until recently, I have lived all my life in one country i.e. Malawi. As much as it offered the comfort of being within familiar settings and culture, it offered me a single story about life. A story that had similar beliefs, religion, values and culture. It lacked the possibility of challenging my acquired beliefs thus there was no need to think or question why all my teachers in primary school were male or why I was always treated by male doctors. It was a single story of women who had accepted less than they deserved, those who refused to take the challenge to become leaders as their male counterparts.

My acceptance into the United States Achievers Program (USAP Malawi) in 2008 was the beginning of a journey that would redefine the single story I had been made to believe. I realized that I had the power to either be the victim of my circumstances or be the master of them. I was empowered to believe that a better tomorrow begins with me today.

With this new realization of the potential I possessed, I joined an HIV/AIDS youth group (Youth Ambassadors) that provides information on the pandemic to high school students in Malawi. I also became an avid reader on almost all subjects which inspired me to join a book club (Ben Carson Book Club-Malawi) which aims to revive the reading culture among the Malawian youth. Over the past two summers I have volunteered at an Orthopedic Hospital (Beit-Cure International Malawi) where I rose from being the receptionist to a runner in the Operating Theater. I have also tutored high school students in preparation of their national examinations at Jacaranda Foundation (a school for orphans in Blantyre, Malawi).

As I continue to redefine my life story at Cornell, I have had the privilege of working with professors who further inspire me to greater heights. In the summer of 2010; I will have the privilege of working with one of my professors in Tanzania where I will volunteer at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center. My classroom experiences with people from all backgrounds and nationalities have helped me in understanding health, environmental and social issues faced by the world. It is my hope that all these opportunities will give me a chance to share my experiences and redefine someone’s life story.

My participation in the One Young World Conference will be an opportunity to interact with fellow youths who aspire to achieve and make a difference in their communities. It will be an opportunity for me to further redefine my single story and also help those from the various countries to redefine their single stories on particular countries or health, political, economic or social issue of certain countries.

It will be a privilege to interact with young leaders who hope to empower and enrich their communities. I would love to be part of a new decade that promises a world revolution by the youth. I hope you will find me suitable to represent Malawi at the One Young World Summit. Your vote and support will go a long way in fulfilling a “PROMISE TO A BETTER WORLD”.

Last week was a blast for me.Our college had a College Olympics so i decided to take part.It was fantastic.At the end i was totally exhausted but it was worthy it.I came 41st of more than 300 participant. Cant complain,especially that im just starting to get in good shape.Check out some pics.The marathon was from Stanley Bridge to Shatby, if you have been to Alexandria,that the station before the Biblitheca Alexandria.

I have been living in Alexandria for a year and a month now.Well before that i swear never thought of living let alone stuying in the middle east or among arabs.For me an arab was a man in his turban,brainwashed,fundamentalist and dangerous,a caricuture i carried around with me from pop culture and moves i guess.

So when i told my parents and friends i was going to study in Egypt,i saw a whole range of reactions.Some were downright horrified and almost advised me not to,others were concerned for my life,sighting suicide bombing,muslim brotherhood and other threats that i may be exposedd to. But if you know me,you know im a very stubborn guy,when im goign right,its right and you better get used to it!

I cant say i was never worried,but buried that fear deep down my gut,pushed it,denied it and ignored it......

Were they right?..their concerns and assumption,far from it.I interact with arabs everyday ,and i find them to be just human.Nothing pecular about them.they are just people.they are my friends ,class mates,my proffessors,hostel supervisors,gym trainers,cooks and allsorts of things to me.they are moral ,others immoral,sane,others insane,rich/poor,smart/dull and everything in between,not in any way different from any humans i know from various walks of life.

I guess being a minority is a new thing to me.i guess i feel more black.im conscious of my color now than ever,i guess beign sorrounded by asea of people of another color makes me distinct and unique.on time a kid run and hid under his mum when i was coming toward him.....im that bad!..hahahaha....yeah at times you get a curious look.if you like me i feel like walking over and saying "wanna touch me?"

A friend of mine asked soon after i came here whether i was exeprincing any...wats the word?..hmmm...'racism?'...from the arabs.I think you may have the same question...iknow you!..deep down...your probably asking..so i will answer you stranger....here is my answer.NO.(notice capitals).

I guess the the Egyptian arabs are used to see Sudanese who came here running way from their war with the north.So black peple are not new here.

Some deep thinkers may get smart on me and say 'which No' are you talking about? you mean there is never even one sour incident or word said towards you?...thats a reasonable question,i must say.There have been.but you see i dont walk with my Race Card in my pocket ready to flash it out..Your doing this coz im black!......I dont play victim...

some may say'tell us the incidents'and we may judge them ourselves since you seem to be an enlightened fellow.'

One of the things that happen often..like once in a month..is being called names.they may call you samara...(black like soot)...chocoleta (chocolate-looking)...or bonga bonga (this one is scarce...it means chimpazee like..this one is gross)...

Name calling,is especially common in backward low income areas.Thats all.Some bitter broke fellows trying to vent their frustration on people different from them.My friend Jim Rohn says there is nothing worse than being broke and stupid....most these guys in name calling are...hahahaha.....i punch back.yo.!

By the way i use Samara and chololeta on my friends lots.To me someone calling chocolata does not have a sting.its actually funny,coz we have repossessed the words and made them harmless..so if you aare a Samara reading this relax! After all 'It's not what they call you, it's what you answer to' that matters.... Samara!....what are you gonna do?

So if you ever wonder how this black is doing among arabs.The answer is Pretty Good..made many friends among them.Learn with them,laugh ,eat ,play and they are brothers to me.Nice people ,good peole great people and everything thng in between...Eating Ashi, fullu fallaf, kebda,and other arab foods..hahahahahahahah.............

Its my ride yo...and im grateful to meet all sorts of people....

Revisiting Malirana

It's been long I guess, since I was back to good old High school of Mtendere, deep down Malirana in Dedza.I got lots of memories from them days. Most are generally good others actually outright hilarious!

One of the funny things was a sleep talking in the dorms. I lived in Shire house, I guess the most unruly House. There was a pattern I observed among perennial sleep talkers. All of us may sleep talk once in a while under special circumstances, but of these you can stay up late and you will surely record a funny sound. A person has to have at least 2 to 3 of these qualities (These are personal observation only)

1) They are usually quiet people.

2) Generally nice guys

3) Mostly loners, or at least reserved guys

4) Generally religious

One guy in particular, for the sake of himself and those who may know him I shall leave him unnamed but he lived Shire 23 ,and later moved to Baghdad(this is for the initiated only).this guy was an eloquent sleep talker. He was so talkative in sleep! He went on and on rumblings in very coherent Chichewa.

His all times great talk was one Thursday night. The tyranny of boarding school ,had already been in force; the lights were off ,the dorm was quite except for some low chattering ,or in-bracket chewing of roasted maize!..Hahahaha...then our great friend began his all time talks. Starting with some little rumbling in a rather fast talk, and climaxed with an all time quote that has since haunted him. He exclaimed "Ndigula chigayo!"(I will buy a maize mill!) Then he went silent only to repeat "Ndigula chigayo!"

Everyone was stunned, and then a large roar of laughter followed. It was a night of laughter and a nightmare from then on for our good friend. It was always a punch line and an argument ender for him if anyone used it against him.

I guess I remembers this coz my roommate occasionally sleep talks. I have also been accused to do so. We are just not that perennial. I guess it's being far from home, some nostalgia and great memories.

The Madman:The Death of God

The german philosopher Nietsche wrote this story in his book Die fröhliche Wissenschaft(Gay Science).Its a story that has been subject to major philosophical material.Check it out!

Have you not heard of that madman who lit a lantern in the bright morning hours, ran to the market-place, and cried incessantly: "I am looking for God! I am looking for God!" As many of those who did not believe in God were standing together there, he excited considerable laughter. Have you lost him, then? said one. Did he lose his way like a child? said another. Or is he hiding? Is he afraid of us? Has he gone on a voyage? or emigrated? Thus they shouted and laughed. The madman sprang into their midst and pierced them with his glances.

"Where has God gone?" he cried. "I shall tell you. We have killed him - you and I. We are his murderers. But how have we done this? How were we able to drink up the sea? Who gave us the sponge to wipe away the entire horizon? What did we do when we unchained the earth from its sun? Whither is it moving now? Whither are we moving now? Away from all suns? Are we not perpetually falling? Backward, sideward, forward, in all directions? Is there any up or down left? Are we not straying as through an infinite nothing? Do we not feel the breath of empty space? Has it not become colder? Is it not more and more night coming on all the time? Must not lanterns be lit in the morning?

Do we not hear anything yet of the noise of the gravediggers who are burying God? Do we not smell anything yet of God's decomposition? Gods too decompose. God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we, murderers of all murderers, console ourselves? That which was the holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet possessed has bled to death under our knives. Who will wipe this blood off us? With what water could we purify ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we need to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we not ourselves become gods simply to be worthy of it? There has never been a greater deed; and whosoever shall be born after us - for the sake of this deed he shall be part of a higher history than all history hitherto."

Here the madman fell silent and again regarded his listeners; and they too were silent and stared at him in astonishment. At last he threw his lantern to the ground, and it broke and went out. "I have come too early," he said then; "my time has not come yet. The tremendous event is still on its way, still travelling - it has not yet reached the ears of men. Lightning and thunder require time, the light of the stars requires time, deeds require time even after they are done, before they can be seen and heard. This deed is still more distant from them than the distant stars - and yet they have done it themselves." It has been further related that on that same day the madman entered divers churches and there sang a requiem. Led out and quietened, he is said to have retorted each time: "what are these churches now if they are not the tombs and sepulchres of God?"

Explaining Nietzsche's 'death of God'

"God is dead" never meant that Nietzsche believed in an actual God who first existed and then died in a literal sense. It may be more appropriate to consider the statement as Nietzsche's way of saying that the "God" of the times (religion and other such spirituality) is no longer a viable source of any received wisdom. Nietzsche recognizes the crisis which the death of God represents for existing mbecause "When one gives up the Christian faith, one pulls the right to Christian morality out from under one's feet. This morality is by no means self-evident... By breaking one main concept out of Christianity, the faith in God, one breaks the whole: nothing necessary remains in one's hands.oral considerations, "[1] This is why in "The Madman", a work which primarily addresses atheists, the problem is to retain any system of values in the absence of a divine order.

The death of God is a way of saying that humans are no longer able to believe in any such cosmic order since they themselves no longer recognize it. The death of God will lead, Nietzsche says, not only to the rejection of a belief of cosmic or physical order but also to a rejection of absolute values themselves — to the rejection of belief in an objective and universal moral law, binding upon all individuals. In this manner, the loss of an absolute basis for morality leads to nihilism.

This nihilism is what Nietzsche worked to find a solution for by re-evaluating the foundations of human values. This meant, to Nietzsche, looking for foundations that went deeper than Christian values. He would find a basis in the "will to power" that he described as "the essence of reality."

Nietzsche believed that the majority of people did not recognize this death out of the deepest-seated fear or angst. Therefore, when the death did begin to become widely acknowledged, people would despair and nihilism would become rampant. This is partly why Nietzsche saw Christianity as nihilistic. He may have seen himself as a historical figure like Zarathustra, Socrates or Jesus, giving a new philosophical orientation to future generations to overcome the impending nihilism.

 Guess life once in a while we all hits rock bottom or face challenges we can’t comprend.Some hurtful situation, at times tragic happens in our lives, and we start getting those deep questions. The questions that demand answers of  Why.

I’m not a leading philosopher or something, im just a guy like you, wondering over such an issue. Recently a friend told me of a situation that happened to a distant friend of our. A truly nice guy, religious and well rounded I must say. He has found himself in uncharted waters and he pretty confused, distressed and worse.

I would really like to acknowledge such feeling as legitimate and necessary for the particular situation. A year and a half ago, I walked an almost similar road to hell.I don’t particularly claim to know the answers, but I admire the questions and would like to wonder with you and offer my own reflections.

Why did it happen?

Why did this happen? This is a totally legitimate question. We want to know the reason for how thing s turns out this way. Someone somewhere has to give the answers. So we clinch the first and wait for the answer. I have done this, you probably haven’t. I have demanded answers from god and, I must say I have gotten none. Is he there? And if yes, does he have the answers? 

I will give you my answer to this later but for now let’s go to the second question

Why did it happen to ME?

Why on earth did it of all the people, occur to me? What at did I do? How did I deserve such a situation? Did I break some universal law or what? I’m I repaying some sins to God or is god playing the Job-experiment on me.

 The Answer

The answer is that i have no answer .I’m not God, I don’t wish to be. Here are my thought though on the two questions are:

I admire a guy called Harv Erker, he runs The Millionare School, a financial literacy institute some sort. I have an audio book of one of his conferences in which he brought a panel of millionaires to give some their life experiences. I was pariculary impressed by a quote of one of the millionaire panel. he said”never seeks the answers, remain in the question, and the answer will be revealed to you.”

The vigorous philosophical judos and rebuttals from atheists and theists o the issue will eventually fill the mind, but the pain is deeper and the questions, personal, and after the philosopher have written their volumes, they won’t erase it. That’s why the answers shouldn’t be looked there only.

In the biblical story of Job, who I call the ultimate questioner. He lost everything; literary.He then embarks on very deep conversations and questions along side his friends. At one point the concludes that a stillborn baby is better than him, and in subsequent verses he goes on with the same train of thought.

Finally God Shows up and does something unique. He Asks him 64 questions back-to-back on things in the universe.Job has not even one answer to them. Ravi Zacharias concludes that, what God was saying is that “there are so many questions to which we don’t have answers to”. Jim Rohn  ,American leading philosopher talks of the “Inevitable” ,he also calls it “one of those things!” in his classical exposé of the parable of the sower Rohn talks of the seed that fell on the road an were eaten by birds. In this particular scenario he proposes two solutions to the problem of the ‘birds’. One of them is to chase the birds and leave the field, thus exposing it to more birds. He says things will happen once in a while that are not favorable but rather than concentrating on the them lets  keep the question and move on,coz ”more often than not things are fine”

Life happens, we all have to make sure that whatever we march forward. What about the questions one may say…this is my suggestion”write them down and the moment you arrive in heaven you will ask God himself, mine are entitled my 5,000,000 questions to God. I guess they may reach that much.

In the action movie The Punisher War Zone, the leading actor Ray Stevenson   after   meeting with his seminary friend he utters these words almost under his breath “Sometimes I would like to get my hands on God

Maybe it’s the Answerer rather than the answers that we may need to take us through.

Yesterday was a great day for my country (Malawi) and my host country (Egypt).It was historic days for both.Malawi, after waiting for 25years; finally go to African cup of nations in Angola while Egypt, against all odds scored the two necessary goals to earn a rematch with Algeria to fight for a slot for Angola next year. Egypt played a truly fantastic game against

Algeria

, and their talisman, Aboutreka lived up to his reputation and claimed the saving goals, 4 minutes into the extra time.The nations probable next president Gamal was there too and jumped with joy when Aboutraka scored

Bloggers Unite:World Kindness Day

I was coming from college the other day,tired and hungry,perhaps even angry.The calculus had drilled me.On the corner after passing the gates always stays a beggar,a lady.She is always there everyday of the week.I don't remember ever giving her anything.I always thought deep down that 'beggars' have to find something productive to do rater than depending on alms.

On this day i was with a friend of mine.The lady called out to us to give her something,i don't remember looking at her.I just passed.we had walked past her a few paces when ,when my friend turned back,walked right back and gave the lady some guineas(Egyptian pounds)i didn't see exactly how much it was.The act itself,moved me.i felt a bit embarrassed ,i must say.The lady was very glad.she muttered some tings in Arabic,i'm not so good at it but i guess she was calling some benediction form Above for my good friend.

I learn t that its good once in a while to stretch our souls by doing acts o kindness for others.i know we all gt our problem and issues but once in a while lets brighten the faces of those whom fate has dealt an even harder blow.

Tomorrow is the world kindness day,do something for someone who wont pay you back,a random act of kindness.We need each other in this universe of ours and lets help the unfortunate.Look for opportunity to help,especially people around you

Intra Alexandria Transport: Taxi

Alexandria is a fascinating city.Its bursting and full of action.lots of interesting places,historical sites ,the biggest library in the world Blah blah Blah.One of the other fascinating things is the taxis operating within Alex.there lots of cabs,depending on your pocket.But the most common and the cheapest is the one i'm talking about.

A typical Alexandria Taxi:yellow and black coloured

While Cairo's taxis are black and white , those in Alex are yellow and black as you have already seen.within the boundary of Alex it may cost at least below LE 20 ($4).If beyond that,you have been ripped off!

Talking of ripping offs,Egyptian Taxi drivers will take advantage of any unknowing foreigner and overcharge you.One of my friends paid LE.50($10) when we just came!

So just know the fares and persist on your offer.Most taxi drivers have no fixed price and will take your offer or a bargain.after all fuel is so cheap that most common taxis have disabled the price per mileage detector(whatever you call it).A litre is A LE 1 an embarrassing 1/5 of A US dollar.

One more thing ,its better to have someone write the address you are going to,assuming you don't know Arabic.if you don't know,most drivers here wont tell you that they don't know where you are going.So they will take you round and round and double the price on you.It has happened to many people i know.

But the cabs are great so if you happen to be Alexandria,get one and see the experience.You have to be quite of course coz most drivers don't speak English ,and if they do it will be funny enough,that you will remember it after a long time.

If you ever felt like quitting ,then this guys is gonna astound you .he failed so much that its ridiculous that he continued.he paid his dues and rose to the top most.One word fit him

Ever wondered what can be the levels of frienship?well my mesho kind of asked me this two,so i teamed up with Td Jakes,Jim Rohn,Jeremiah Creedon,and myself.These are the levels...:

To succeed in life we really have to relate in so many dimesnions,coz we associate with so many people,and get calling them friends,which is good.The trouble is if one doesnt know the levels ,especillay if you are broken,you are likely to get in trouble,even confused with your friendship.

To make it big,you cant afford just to hang out with pipo who are like you only.Not just pipo who are saved like you,talk like you, and do like you.

So to save your life This is for you!

1.Level one: Confidants

These are the fewest kind of friends.In your whole life you may have less than five confidants,if more..the rest will join your list of great enemies.

Who are these people?....these are pipo who love you unconditionally.These guys are Into YOU,period!

they are into you when up or down ,right or wrong,broke or rich....making it or screwing up.These are friends you can share ANYTHING with.you will never really succeed until you find your confidants.You need these to make to the next level.They will confront you,get in your face when necessary,and tell you are Wrong.They may annoy you but you know they have nothing but your INTEREST at heart.

David and jonathan would qualify,maybe Tigerwoods and Roger Federer seems to be too.

These guys have nothing to DIG from you.Do you have any of these?examine your company and check out.The problem with most pipo is that everyone they hangout with is under them,and want something from them...Start looking for your confidants..God help you!

2.Level two:Comrades

These guys are really not into YOU.They are also not in for what youare for.Most of them are just aginst what you are against.The only demoninator between you,is the common enemy or challenge.They will tyeam up with you,fight along side you,so long as your common enemy is still standing:classmates,Religi

ous club memebers,et all belong to this group.

Expect this type to leave as soon as : (a)the enemy /challenge is defeated (b)the enemy has defeated you...They simply come for a purpose,ad when its done,expect them to leave,no hartd feelings coz they werent into YOU in the first place.Dont tell them your dreams,coz they may not be of any encouragement,they may discourage you or worse,still your dream!

3.Level three : Constituents

These guys are not into YOU.They are into what you are FORonly.As long as you are in what they into,they will stay with you.But remember they are not into YOu.If they see someone who is for what you are for,they will leve you and go for the person.If you are broken and trying to hold on to everyone,these willbreak you more.The leave coz they got to....

If you tell your dream to:

level 1:they will support you relentlessly and help you make it

level2.they wont support you coz they arent into YOU or What your are for..So your dreams cant be carried by them.

level3:they willtry to fulfil the dream without you

4.Level four:The Best Friend:

These are supposed to be confidants.But sometimes they are not.This scenario is like marrying a witch!Then you need to practice limited association or kick them out.Jeremiah Creedon,describes them as;" A best friend listens but never judges, helps you out of a jam, tells it to you straight, and often forgives a debt. Best friends resemble invisible friends in that both are most common in childhood (and may not really exist)."

5.Level five :Old Friends

These are guys you USED to know.these are guys you used to understand.You cant assume you still know them.Some of them have become better and may move into Confidant,others become enemies,whilst others just change in ways you cant handle,so you become indifferent to them.Watch out for these guys.You cant assume you still knwo them...you cant assume they still believe,love,like or enjoy what they USED to like ,do or enjoy.

The Story of The Frog And The Scorpion

Two of my favourite success philosopher Jim Rohn and his protege ,Tony robbins tell of this amazing story of frog and the scorpion.,and how it reflects reality,as we know.Here it goes.

One day, a scorpion looked around at the mountain where he lived and decided that he wanted a change. So he set out on a journey through the forests and hills. He climbed over rocks and under vines and kept going until he reached a river.
The river was wide and swift, and the scorpion stopped to reconsider the situation. He couldn't see any way across. So he ran upriver and then checked downriver, all the while thinking that he might have to turn back.
Suddenly, he saw a frog sitting in the rushes by the bank of the stream on the other side of the river. He decided to ask the frog for help getting across the stream.
"Hellooo Mr. Frog!" called the scorpion across the water, "Would you be so kind as to give me a ride on your back across the river?"
"Well now, Mr. Scorpion! How do I know that if I try to help you, you wont try to kill me?" asked the frog hesitantly.
"Because," the scorpion replied, "If I try to kill you, then I would die too, for you see I cannot swim!"
Now this seemed to make sense to the frog. But he asked. "What about when I get close to the bank? You could still try to kill me and get back to the shore!"
"This is true," agreed the scorpion, "But then I wouldn't be able to get to the other side of the river!"
"Alright then...how do I know you wont just wait till we get to the other side and THEN kill me?" said the frog.
"Ahh...," crooned the scorpion, "Because you see, once you've taken me to the other side of this river, I will be so grateful for your help, that it would hardly be fair to reward you with death, now would it?!"
So the frog agreed to take the scorpion across the river. He swam over to the bank and settled himself near the mud to pick up his passenger. The scorpion crawled onto the frog's back, his sharp claws prickling into the frog's soft hide, and the frog slid into the river. The muddy water swirled around them, but the frog stayed near the surface so the scorpion would not drown. He kicked strongly through the first half of the stream, his flippers paddling wildly against the current.
Halfway across the river, the frog suddenly felt a sharp sting in his back and, out of the corner of his eye, saw the scorpion remove his stinger from the frog's back. A deadening numbness began to creep into his limbs.
"You fool!" croaked the frog, "Now we shall both die! Why on earth did you do that?"
The scorpion shrugged, and did a little jig on the drownings frog's back.
"I could not help myself. It is my nature."
Then they both sank into the muddy waters of the swiftly flowing river.

My mum is the greatest hero ...she is a strong spirtitual lady,an ever encouraging ,and ever praying for all of us.A very loving and generous mum,she has laways been.I can truly say,had it not been for her,my great valleys would have been deadly.Some how she hoped with me and believed in/with me always.At times she believed in more than i believed in myself.Im so glad.She has been thru alot but she had made it thru in one piece and still smilling.I wonder where she gets all that energy!
If any one ever prays for me,i know i can count on my mum,she such a prayer worrier for me and my greatest fan and cheerleader....

Anyway:

For Now the Pyramids are surely within my reach..so its 1/25 for me now.I hope..to hopefully finish the list..Thats my dream,and dreams come true...
